Best Pokemon in Pokemon Champions
Here are the S-tier Pokemon in Pokemon Champions based on the current meta:
*last updated 20 May 2026*
Charizard
Charizard earns an easy S-tier spot, mainly because of Mega Charizard Y’s dominance. This form stands out as one of the strongest Mega evolutions available, especially due to its ability to control weather. As a sun setter, it enables powerful team strategies while also dealing massive damage on its own. While Mega Charizard X sees less usage, Y remains the preferred choice thanks to its consistency and overall impact in battles.
Garchomp
Garchomp is one of the most meta-shaping Pokemon in the game. Its versatility allows it to slot into almost any team, whether as a sand synergy pick or a standalone powerhouse. Moves like Earthquake and Dragon Claw provide reliable, high damage output, while Swords Dance gives it scaling potential. Combined with abilities like Rough Skin, Garchomp constantly pressures opponents, making it a central figure in many team compositions.
Rotom-Wash
Rotom-Wash secures its place in S tier by being one of the best pivot options available. With access to Volt Switch, it maintains momentum while applying pressure. Its synergy with Incineroar is especially effective, as Will-O-Wisp combined with Intimidate can severely weaken physical attackers. This level of utility, along with its flexibility, makes Rotom-Wash a reliable pick for a wide range of teams.
Whimsicott
Whimsicott stands out as the premier Tailwind setter in the game. Its speed control alone is enough to justify its S-tier ranking, but it also offers additional value through utility moves like Encore. On top of that, it can function as a sun enabler and still deal respectable damage with Moonblast, allowing it to threaten common meta picks. Its versatility and disruptive potential make it a key support Pokemon.
Floette
Mega Floette is considered one of the strongest offensive threats in the game. Its damage output is exceptionally high, especially after a single Calm Mind boost, allowing it to overwhelm most opponents. While it relies on speed support such as Tailwind or Trick Room to reach its full potential, its signature move, Light of Ruin, is capable of dealing devastating damage. With the right setup, it can easily take over matches.
Incineroar
Incineroar is widely regarded as the most valuable Pokemon in the current meta. Its toolkit offers everything a team needs, including Fake Out for disruption, Intimidate for damage control, and Parting Shot for momentum. Beyond its utility, it still deals solid damage with moves like Flare Blitz. Its ability to fit into virtually any team composition makes it a top-tier staple.
Basculegion (Male)
Male Basculegion is a prime example of a high-impact offensive Pokemon. Thanks to Adaptability and strong moves like Last Respects and Wave Crash, it can deal massive damage even without weather support. When equipped with a Choice Scarf, it becomes even more threatening by outspeeding many opponents. Its raw power alone is enough to justify its S-tier ranking.
Sneasler
Sneasler is one of the most dangerous offensive threats in the game, potentially ranking among the very best. It combines speed, utility, and damage through moves like Fake Out, Close Combat, and Dire Claw. Its interaction with White Herb allows it to recover from stat drops and gain momentum, making it even harder to deal with. With access to coverage like Rock Slide and multiple viable builds, Sneasler remains unpredictable and highly effective.
